In the Star Wars Insider, they showed an Empire Strikes Back Manga (Japanese animation) comic book with Yoda on the cover. Yoda looks like Yoda, but Luke, Leia, and Han look nothing like themselves.
Radko, who made four different glass Star Wars ornaments last year (Chewbacca, Darth Vader, C-3PO, and a Stormtrooper) available in the Star Wars Insider. This year, they are releasing a Yoda ornament. The ornament should cost around $20. Whether or not the ornament is available in the Star Wars Insider is yet to be known. The following is the description from Insider #41:
"All four [five] new Star Wars glass Christmas ornaments are rendered with the old world craftsmanship that has made the Christopher Radko name world famous with collectors. Crafted exactly as ornaments were a century ago, each unique piece is individually mouth bolown, silvered, and hand painted, and requires an entire week to create. Get ready to decorate your Star Wars Christmas tree.
The Yoda will also be hand blown glass, so the above should relate to the Yoda as well.
On January 17, Yoda was on the cover of the LA Times Calendar section.
Topps' unveiled a new series: Chrome Archives. They came out with a promotional Yoda card numbered "P2" and is one of two promotional cards announcing the series. Card "P1" is a Darth Vader card.
Applause made a 14 inch tall plush Yoda from the classic trilogy. It is a tough one to find since it came out in April, and then in May all of the Episode I collectibles came out, replacing it. Also made was a 14 inch tall plush Ewok.

On April 11, 1999, the Liberty Meadows comic strip ran a comic with Star Wars references. On some comic strips, the artist adds a voluntary title frame, and some newspapers run them and others don't. Yoda was in the title frame playing a clarinet, and Oola was dancing behind him. The comic itself was funny, but didn't mention Yoda at all. The drawing of Yoda is one of the better ones I have seen.
The slogan for the Episode I books is "Read, you will!". There have been advertisements, along with buttons turning up with this phrase and an image of Yoda on it. The advertisements have been for Random House's line of Star Wars books.
With the May 3 debut of many Episode I collectibles, there are no Yoda toys yet, but there are some in-store displays and promotions. There is a life-sized Yoda replica that is being given away at certain stores. There also is a wide assortment of "Find Yoda and win" cardboard signs for stores to publicize the gold Yoda cans. There also is an inflatable gold Yoda can. My local 7-11 has a Yoda on top of a coloring book display. He is in his Jedi Council chair. Waldenbooks (and maybe other book stores) have buttons with Yoda on them saying "Read, you will," which is the slogan for Episode I books. I also have a picture of an advertisement for the books saying "Read, you will!" with Yoda on it. Back around Christmas, I came across a picture of a t-shirt with the Episode I logo on the front, and a picture of Yoda in his Jedi Council chair with the words "Read, you will!" I haven't heard any more since, but would like to know if any stores have employees wearing these shirts.
